started after the founding of New China. China initially developed aircraft aluminum sheet
to meet the needs of importing aircraft from the Soviet Union for maintenance and prevention of Soviet MiG fighters. Since 1956, the main aviation aluminium alloys of the Soviet Union have been imitated and 7A04 and 2112 alloys have been successfully fabricated. However, only natural aging T4 and simple artificial aging T6 have been used in China's aviation industry before 1980. They are widely used in fighter 5, fighter 6 and fighter 7.
In order to provide high stress corrosion cracking resistance aircraft aluminum sheet
for aviation industry, China has developed 7A09-T6 alloy. Its technological properties and corrosion resistance are superior to 7A04 alloy. It can be processed into various semi-finished products. Later, T73 and T74 state materials have been successfully imitated, which are used as the main bearing structure of fighter aircraft. It completely replaces 7A04 T6 alloy and flies in fighter 7 and fighter 8 series. Aircraft has been widely used, and there are still many applications in aircraft. At this stage, 7A33 alloy with high corrosion resistance has been successfully fabricated. Its tensile strength is comparable to that of 2A12 alloy. It not only has no tendency of intergranular corrosion, but also has high resistance to stress corrosion cracking and exfoliation corrosion. It is used to replace 2A12 alloy as skin structure in seaplane and amphibious aircraft made in China.
In order to meet the requirements of the design modification of old aircraft and the development of new aircraft for the comprehensive performance of aircraft aluminum sheet
as well as multi-varieties, multi-specifications and multi-heat treatment conditions, China has launched a comprehensive study on 7075-T73, 7075-T76, 2024-T3, T6, T8, 7475-t73, 7475-t76, 7050 T4, 2124 T851, 2224 t3, 2324 t39.7175 T74 materials.
In order to meet the practical requirements of aircraft manufacturing and the development needs of future aircraft, China has carried out high-purity research on 7A04, 2A70, 2A12 and 2A06 alloys. At the same time, it has also carried out research on super-high strength 7A55 alloys and high corrosion resistance aluminum alloy 6A06, as well as on T77 status materials.
