The main transport planes produced in China are: Yun-5, Yun-7, Yun-8, Yun-10, Yun-11, Yun-12, C919, Yun-20, and ARJ21, which is the first regional aircraft with fully independent intellectual property rights developed by China.
The
aerospace aluminum plate sheet used in Yun-8 prototype is mainly made of 2A12, 7A04 and so on. The 2A12
aerospace pre-stretched aluminum plate was used. Later, 2024 aluminium alloy plate was used as well as 2124, 7050 aluminium alloy thick plates with the need of aircraft modification. Aluminum alloy forgings such as 2A50 and 2A14 are widely used in Yun-8 prototype machine.
Yun-10 aircraft selection is based in China, Chalco Aluminum provides a large amount of aluminum alloy, accounting for 82% of the structural quality. Yun-10 aircraft fuselage, wing, tail and other main bearing structural parts are largely made of domestic 2112 and 7A04
aerospace aluminum plate sheet, and also used 6A02, 2A50 and 2114 aluminum alloy forgings. Chinalco provides large pre-stretched aluminium alloy panels for Y10 aircraft.
The new branch ARJ21 aircraft is mainly made of aluminium alloy, reaching 75%. Chalco Aluminum provides 2524-T3, 2324-T39

The upper wing wall adopts 7150-T7751, 7055-T7751 pre-stretched aluminium alloy sheets with high strength and corrosion resistance. 7150 alloy is also widely used in wing beam, fuselage truss, fuselage frame, partition frame, upper wing truss and other load-bearing components.
