Even now, they are still one of the most used alloys in aeronautical and spacecraft structures.
7 *** series aluminium alloy is an aluminium alloy with zinc as the main alloying element, which belongs to heat treatment strengthened aluminium alloy. When Mg is added into the alloy, Al-Zn-Mg alloy has good hot deformation property, wide quenching range, high strength under suitable heat treatment conditions, good weldability and good corrosion. It has a certain tendency of stress corrosion and is a high strength weldable aluminium alloy. The alloy has been widely used in aerospace and aerospace fields, and has become one of the most important structural materials in this field. It is also listed as two deformed aluminium alloys for aerospace structures. 2 *** series aluminium alloys are called high strength hard aluminium and 7 *** series aluminium alloys are called
super high strength hard aluminium.
