7N01 alloy is a Japanese alloy, in which "N" is the abbreviation of Nippon (Japan). It is used to process sheets, pipes, rods, profiles and forgings. It is a high strength alloy with good weldability.
7N01 aluminum alloy plate has been widely used in transportation equipment manufacturing, but has not been registered with American Aluminum Association Corporation (AA).
Chemical composition
Chemical composition (mass%) of 7N01 alloy: Si0.30, Fe0.35, Cu0.20, Mn0.20-0.7, Mg1.0-2.0, Cr0.30, Zn4.0-5.0, Ti0.20, V0.10, Zr0.25, other impurities each 0.05, total 0.15, the rest of Al.
Heat treatment
The complete annealing temperature of
7N01 aluminum alloy plate is about 415 C. T4: room temperature aging treatment for more than one month; T5: about 120 artificial aging for about 24 hours; T6: about 120 artificial aging for about 24 hours.
physical property
The density of
7N01 aluminum alloy plate is 2780 kg/m3 at 25 ~C, the liquidus temperature is 620 ~650 ~C, and the average linear expansion coefficient is 23.6 *10-6/~C at 20 ~100 ~C.
Corrosion resistance
The spontaneous potential of
7N01 aluminum alloy plate for saturated calomel electrode (SCE) in 3.5% NaC1 solution: - 940 mV; the T6 material is - 951.5 mV. Under the above conditions, the pitting potential is -919.6mV for T4 material and -814.6mV for T6 material. There is a tendency of stress corrosion cracking in the high direction (short transverse direction) of thick plate, and the heat affected zone of welded parts has a strong corrosion resistance after aging treatment.
7N01 aluminum alloy plate has good weldability and surface treatment performance, good brazing and cutting performance, high strength, but poor formability.
