According to the different chemical elements of microalloys added,
7000 series aluminium alloys for aviation mainly form three series:
7075 series aluminum alloys(containing Cr or Mn, including 7075, 7175, 7475, etc.),
7050 series aluminum alloys (including Zr, including 7050, 7010, 7150, 7055, etc.) and
7049 series aluminum alloys (containing Ti, Zr, including 7049, 7149, 7249 and the latest 7349 and 744). 9).
7075 series aluminum alloys have a long history of use and a complete variety of materials, including thin plate, aluminium clad plate, medium and heavy plate, thick plate, forging, extrusion parts, etc. The material specifications and heat treatment status have also formed a series, which once became a widely used high strength aluminium alloy. The later developed 7175 alloy is a special forging alloy, 7475 is mainly used to manufacture thin and thick plates. 7475 alloy has the best damage tolerance in 7075 series.
7050 series aluminum alloys have good hardenability and can be used to manufacture semi-finished products with large specifications and thick sections. It is more effective to control recrystallization of alloys by replacing Cr or Mn with Zr microalloying element. 7010 alloy is similar to 7050 Alloy developed in Europe. 7150 alloy was developed at 7050 and birth. The composition of 7150 alloy is more resultant and its comprehensive performance is better. The main varieties are sheet metal and extrusion parts. 7055 aluminium alloy is a kind of alloy developed by American Aluminum Company. At present, it has the highest alloying degree and strength, and has been widely used in aviation aluminium alloy. The typical value of LT direction tensile strength of 7055-t7751 pre-stretched thick plate is above 660 MPa, the peeling corrosion EB grade, and the fracture toughness is higher than that of 7150 alloy of the same variety. 7055 and 7150 alloys are used together and have achieved good results in large military transport aircraft, Boeing 777 and fourth generation fighter validation aircraft.
7049 series aluminum alloys have higher zinc content than 7050 series alloys, and contain Cr element. They have high strength and good corrosion resistance. They are widely used in Europe.
