2A12 aluminium round bar rod is a kind of high strength hard aluminium, which can be strengthened by heat treatment;
2A12 aluminium round bar rod has good spot weldability, and tends to form intergranular cracks in gas welding and argon arc welding;
2A12 aluminium round bar rod has good machinability after cold work hardening. The corrosion resistance is not high. Anodic oxidation treatment and painting method or aluminium coating on the surface are often used to improve the corrosion resistance.
Specification for Heat Treatment of
2A12 aluminium round bar rod:
1) Homogenization annealing: heating 480-495 ℃; holding 12-14h; furnace cooling.
2) Complete annealing: heating 390-430 ℃; holding time 30-120 min; furnace cooling to 300 ℃, air cooling.
3) Rapid annealing: heating 350-370 C; holding time 30-120 min; air cooling.
4) Quenching and aging : Quenching 495-505 ℃, water cooling; artificial aging 185-195 ℃, 6-12 h, air cooling; natural aging: room temperature 96 h.
Purpose:
Uses are mainly used to produce various high-load parts and components (but not stamping forgings), such as aircraft skeleton parts, skin, partition frame, wing ribs, wing beams, rivets and other working parts below 150 ℃.
