2A12 aluminum alloy is a typical age hardening Al Cu mg heat treatable aluminum alloy with high strength, good fracture toughness and fatigue properties, and excellent high temperature creep resistance.
2A12 aluminum sheet plate is widely used in all kinds of high strength structural parts because of its high strength, good fatigue resistance and good processing performance. 2A12 aluminum alloy ingots with different Cu content were hot rolled to 5.0 mm and cold rolled to 2.0 mm respectively. After the same annealing and quenching aging, the metallographic structure and mechanical properties of o-state and T42 state were studied respectively, which provided an effective basis for users to control the Cu content in 2A12 material under different service conditions.
The
2A12 aluminum sheet plate produced by Chalco aluminum can meet the mechanical properties of o-state and T42 state. Therefore, according to the different needs of users, it is feasible to select chemical components with different Cu content for production. For some 2A12 products, reducing Cu content can effectively reduce the production cost.
