The melting temperature of type 2618 alloy is 720~760 ℃. The solid solution treatment temperature of 2618 alloy die forgings in T61 state is between 505 -515 ℃.
 
2618-T851 aluminum plate alloy material has high corrosion resistance, but still has the tendency of intergranular corrosion and exfoliation corrosion. Aluminum clad sheet has relatively high corrosion resistance. The surface treatment performance of the alloy is general, and the machinability and grinding performance are good.
